Shopping or just strolling. Enjoy the city and meet friends. A mature town centre, modern shops and urban flair – Innsbruck city is an open-air shopping centre of the very special kind.
Opposite Hotel Central you will find the new Kaufhaus Tyrol shopping centre with architecture by David Chipperfield. Only a short walk away is Sillpark shopping complex. To the west of the city you have the Cyta shopping centre and to the east the biggest shopping centre in western Austria, DEZ. Both centres are right by motorway exits and are also easy to get to by public transport from Hotel Central.
World famous and known to all, the Swarovski company is currently renovating the world’s biggest Swarovski shop in Innsbruck, for completion in August 2011.
Many other boutiques and shops line Innsbruck’s beautiful main street, Maria Theresien Strasse, and the parallel-running Museumsstrasse. Both streets are very close to Hotel Central.
